About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance with accounting standards and Group policies across all financial reporting activities
- Manage all local statutory, accounting and tax requirements, ensuring deadlines and regulatory obligations are met
- Lead balance sheet reconciliation processes and ensure the health and accuracy of all balance sheet accounts
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring successful completion of audits and compliance reviews
- Monitor cash positions, support cash repatriation plans, and work closely with Group Treasury and Tax teams
- Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations and resolution of balances with Group affiliates
- Build and develop the local finance team, providing guidance and expertise across accounting and financial matters
- Promote a strong control environment and uphold Intertek's Code of Ethics with zero tolerance for non-compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar Finance role within an international organization
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory reporting, taxation and financial controls
- Experience managing audits and working with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent Greek and good command of English, both written and spoken
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of SUN and COGNOS systems would be considered an advantage
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with local and Group Finance teams
