About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform LiDAR and 360° mapping in California
- Travel to different locations within California
- Temporarily relocate within California as needed
- Conduct field-based geospatial data collection using a LiDAR system
- Set up, configure, calibrate, and operate the LiDAR system
- Ensure high-quality and accurate collected data
- Conduct surveying/geospatial work
- Work with drone-based, vehicle-based, or pedestrian-based LiDAR equipment depending on setup
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced B2B contractor
- Hands-on experience with LiDAR systems
- Own LiDAR equipment meeting project requirements; having a LiDAR system is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of LiDAR system setup and calibration
- Experience with surveying or geospatial data collection
- Willingness to travel and temporarily relocate within California
- Availability to work with field equipment throughout the project
- For drone-based LiDAR: proven experience with drone-based LiDAR data collection
- For drone-based LiDAR: valid drone pilot license and all required documentation to legally operate a drone in the US
- For drone-based LiDAR: proven piloting skills and relevant practical experience
- For vehicle-based LiDAR: proven experience working with vehicle-based LiDAR systems
- For vehicle-based LiDAR: vehicle may be owned or rented
- GNSS and IMU are highly preferable in the LiDAR setup
- 360° camera ownership is advantageous but not mandatory
