About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform LiDAR and 360° mapping
- Conduct field-based geospatial data collection using a LiDAR system
- Travel to different locations within California
- Set up, calibrate, and operate LiDAR systems
- Collect high-quality and accurate spatial data
- Conduct drone-based, vehicle-based, or pedestrian-based LiDAR mapping depending on equipment setup
- Work with LiDAR sensors, preferably with GNSS and IMU integration
- Details regarding locations, schedule, project duration, scope of work, and cooperation terms discussed individually
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experienced B2B contractor
- Own LiDAR system is mandatory
- Hands-on experience with LiDAR systems
- Strong knowledge of LiDAR system setup and calibration
- Experience with surveying or geospatial data collection
- For drone-based LiDAR: valid drone pilot license and all required documentation to legally operate a drone in the US
- For drone-based LiDAR: proven piloting skills and relevant practical experience
- For vehicle-based LiDAR: experience working with vehicle-based LiDAR systems
- Willingness to travel and temporarily relocate within the state of California
- Availability to work with field equipment throughout the project
- Exact equipment configuration must meet project requirements and will be discussed individually
