Key responsibilities & impact

Become Intrepid’s dedicated e-commerce operations and finance analytics subject-matter expert across the region, based in Thailand
Act as the go-to operations and finance data resource for country teams across six Southeast Asian markets
Lead requirement-gathering conversations and workshops with e-commerce operations and finance stakeholders
Map data flows across PowerSell, the Finance Data Warehouse, and marketplace Seller Centre sources
Translate open-ended business questions into structured data requirements
Maintain a prioritized operations and finance analytics backlog with the central Data Engineering/BI team
Own analytics for SKU/category performance, pricing and promotions, marketplace P&L, fulfilment, and returns
Write SQL and build and validate dashboards independently
Pair with Vietnam- or Indonesia-based analysts on heavier pipeline or engineering work
Validate and reconcile operational and financial data, escalating recurring quality issues
Interpret third-party market intelligence and digital shelf data for competitive and category context
Present insights and recommendations to country operations and finance leads and regional leadership
Proactively surface non-obvious patterns and discrepancies across markets
Represent the operations and finance domain within Data & Analytics and contribute to the data engineering roadmap
Maintain metric definitions and contribute to the BI Business Glossary and semantic layer
Document reconciliation methodology across six markets
Contribute to data quality monitoring and identify issues for automation
Use Claude and other AI tools for anomaly detection, discrepancy detection, reconciliation, and proactive insight generation
Prototype AI-assisted analytics workflows, including reconciliation alerts, pricing/margin anomaly detection, and natural-language querying
Evaluate and hand off validated GenAI use cases into Intrepid’s AI transformation and automation roadmap

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on SQL and dashboarding experience using Apache Superset, Looker, Power BI, or similar
Ability to validate and reconcile data from multiple sources independently
Working knowledge of e-commerce operations data structures, including SKU/category, pricing and promotions, fulfilment and returns
Basic finance and reconciliation concepts, including GMV vs. net revenue, margin, and accruals
Experience with or exposure to Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop Seller Centre data is a strong plus
Comfort working with third-party market intelligence and digital shelf datasets
Hands-on experience using Claude or other GenAI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini for analytical work
Comfort experimenting with AI agents or no/low-code workflow automation tools such as n8n
Working prompt-engineering literacy
Deep understanding of e-commerce marketplace operations, including pricing and promotions, fulfilment and returns, and category/SKU management
Working understanding of finance and reconciliation concepts
Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate with minimal oversight across multiple country operations and finance teams
Excellent communication skills across business/operations, finance, and technical/data audiences
4–6 years of combined experience across e-commerce operations analytics, finance analytics, business analysis, or data analysis roles
Prior experience in e-commerce marketplace operations or finance reporting in Southeast Asia
Experience covering multiple markets or countries remotely from a regional hub
Exposure to finance reconciliation or data warehouse reporting systems
Prior experience building or piloting an AI-assisted or automated reporting/insight workflow is a strong plus
