Key responsibilities & impact

Operate and maintain the Forward Wind Energy Center
Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and associated equipment
Climb wind turbine towers daily to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment
Understand the electrical and mechanical functions of wind turbine generator components and associated equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components
Maintain company tooling, facilities, and equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Work a 40-hour week and scheduled or unscheduled overtime, with varying schedules during peak maintenance periods

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
Ability to climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds)
Weight must not exceed 124 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
Must pass drug testing and receive a negative result before beginning work
