About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform and train on major component replacements and repair services across the Invenergy fleet
  • Ensure operations and maintenance activities are performed safely according to Invenergy policies and procedures
  • Travel away from home for 4-week intervals and return home for one week of time off
  • Represent Invenergy and the Field Service Group to internal and external parties
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across multiple equipment platforms
  • Train site personnel in safety, preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and the Operations Support System
  • Lead teams performing major component replacements and repairs across multiple equipment platforms and component manufacturers
  • Troubleshoot complicated electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems
  • Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of multiple equipment platforms
  • Perform equipment and site inspections and compile associated reports
  • Complete daily and monthly reporting requirements
  • Write and revise procedures and documents for component replacements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two (2) years technical experience and/or technical education related to renewable energy systems
  • Experience in multiple platforms strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively use software systems to troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to work safely with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and climb ladders without assistance
  • Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
  • Weight must not exceed 129 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job-related tasks
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must pass drug testing and receive a negative result before beginning work
  • Strong interest and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Self-motivated
