About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Go backend services with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Develop and enhance RESTful APIs with clear contracts and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Build and maintain high-throughput data pipelines consuming events from Kafka.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and define best practices for the service ecosystem.
  • Implement and improve observability mechanisms through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of services in production.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers in an agile, cross-functional environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of the platform and the adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong experience developing complex backend services in production environments, preferably using Go.
  • Experience with other compiled, strongly typed languages.
  • Knowledge of building and evolving RESTful APIs, including request validation, error handling, and documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging using Kafka.
  • Experience handling delayed, replayed, or out-of-order events.
  • Knowledge of relational and/or time-series databases, including data modeling, migrations, and query optimization.
  • Experience with observability using tools such as DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent solutions.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Experience working on agile product development teams.
  • Experience using caching layers such as Redis for high-performance scenarios.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Preferred: experience with distributed query engines for data lakes, such as Trino or Presto.
  • Preferred: experience integrating LLM-based solutions, such as AWS Bedrock.
  • Preferred: interest in contributing to architectural discussions and the platform's technical evolution.
