About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain back-end applications using Kotlin
Implement business rules in accordance with specified requirements and solutions
Design and develop APIs and integrations with external systems and data sources
Apply DDD (Domain-Driven Design), Clean Architecture, and Hexagonal Architecture principles
Structure solutions following the Ports and Adapters model
Ensure code quality through automated testing and software engineering best practices
Develop and maintain tests using JUnit, Testcontainers, and a class-based testing approach
Contribute to the evolution of relational and non-relational databases
Participate in defining scalable and resilient architectures for distributed environments
Contribute to artificial intelligence initiatives, including implementing business logic associated with these solutions
Perform prompt engineering when required for projects
Assess the quality and consistency of annotated datasets
Identify improvement opportunities to meet the needs of customers and end users
Ensure the security, quality, and maintainability of delivered code

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in back-end development using Kotlin
Advanced knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)
Experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development)
Knowledge of Clean Architecture
Experience with Hexagonal Architecture and the Ports and Adapters pattern
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Knowledge of the use cases, advantages, and limitations of each database model
Experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with DynamoDB
Knowledge of automated testing using JUnit and Testcontainers
Experience integrating systems and APIs
Knowledge of code quality, security, and maintainability best practices
Experience developing scalable and distributed solutions
Knowledge of development applied to artificial intelligence solutions
