About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently test newly deployed platform features, digital storefront tools, and AI recommendations for local business management and customer engagement.
- Review AI-generated business summaries, search visibility responses, and mapping integrations for empirical accuracy against actual business operations.
- Provide comprehensive, audit-ready feedback on platform usability, digital-tool relevance, and practical day-to-day utility for local merchants.
- Identify and document model misinterpretations of business categories, service offerings, operational hours, and local market nuances.
- Operate autonomously to evaluate digital merchant tools and provide structured business data.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable professional expertise as an active owner, operator, or primary manager of a business within the food/beverage, lodging, local service, or retail shopping sectors.
- Must currently possess and actively manage a verified Google Business Profile associated with your enterprise.
- Strong analytical communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical observations, user-experience (UX) friction points, and actionable commerce feedback.
- A meticulous, detail-oriented approach to evaluating digital workflows, consumer-facing data representation, and local search mechanics from a merchant's perspective.
- Secure computer and high-speed internet supplied by the contractor.
