Key responsibilities & impact

Solve applied machine learning tasks by iterating from baseline solutions to optimized workflows
Evaluate scientific writing, including research abstracts and introductions, using review rubrics such as NeurIPS guidelines
Debug advanced model behavior across optimization, fairness, regularization, transformers, and applied NLP, documenting failure modes
Design benchmark tasks by identifying datasets, analyzing state-of-the-art papers, building evaluation scripts, and providing reference implementations
Improve training datasets through structured feedback that makes AI outputs more accurate, reliable, and useful

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong background in machine learning, NLP, or data science
Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, probabilistic modeling, and applied NLP
Proficiency in Python, ML frameworks, and cloud-based workflows
Clear communication skills and ability to explain reasoning and show your work
Contractor must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet
Master’s or PhD in CS/ML/data science preferred
Peer-reviewed research or production ML systems is a strong plus
