About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and manage long-term relationships with physicians and other customers in assigned accounts and territory
- Provide access support and education while delivering key promotional messages for people with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
- Educate physicians, nurses, billing managers, and office staff about Donidalorsen, HAE, its approved indication and clinical information, and appropriate use once FDA approved
- Support healthcare provider offices with access support in a compliant manner
- Understand healthcare-market dynamics, HAE community needs, key customers, and accounts treating HAE
- Build and leverage local healthcare-system networks to execute business plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional field teams to support the Donidalorsen product launch
- Educate HCPs and office staff on brand messages, efficacy, safety, and access processes using approved materials
- Use tokenized patient hub data via CRM to provide patient access status updates
- Raise HAE disease-state awareness and educate on patient needs
- Educate customers about Ionis patient services and encourage appropriate program utilization
- Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings
- Gather account insights and provide feedback to field leadership and marketing
- Identify, validate, and document potential HCPs treating HAE
- Develop and execute territory strategic account plans and launch engagement plans
- Participate in field meetings and training programs
- Certify on the approved label, compliance training, and customer engagement policies
- Adhere to Ionis policies, Code of Ethics, and Business Conduct
- Share customer-engagement learnings with field teams and leadership
- Leverage platforms and technology to engage customers across multiple channels
- Partner on accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties across geographies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 12 years of related experience
- Master's and/or advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, PhD, PharmD) preferred with at least 8 years of related experience
- At least 4+ years of experience in Pharma sales or Field Reimbursement and/or access roles
- Experience with rare diseases and product launches
- HCP and IDN engagement experience
- Cross-functional field team coordination
- Successful launch experience
- Customer reimbursement and drug access education and support
- Extensive comprehension of the healthcare ecosystem, including market access landscape and payer reimbursement policies for rare disease products
- Analytical skills to build product knowledge competency in pharmaceuticals, competitor products, and relevant disease states
- Ability to solve customer challenges with integrity and in a compliant manner
- Excellent communications and presentation skills
- Proven track record for consistently and compliantly meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative and qualitative targets
- Solid understanding of and adherence to external laws, codes, and company policies applicable to the healthcare industry and interactions with healthcare professionals
