About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and manage the overall monthly business performance report for submission to Divisional and Group Management
  • Coordinate the annual budget across 8 plants in the division
  • Collaborate with functional business leads to prepare financial projections for business and strategic plans
  • Organise and lead management teams in preparing, presenting, and delivering performance against budgets and plans
  • Lead divisional financial business planning for quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Model and prepare projected labour, overhead, and SG&A spending needs with plant management and department heads
  • Drive divisional performance through continuous improvement of the FP&A function
  • Lead weekly revenue, volume, and EBITDA forecasting, tracking variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Perform variance analysis on sales, gross margin, costs, and profitability with the Commercial Finance Director
  • Implement corrective actions with local plant finance and management teams
  • Own and refine the cost savings initiative framework
  • Participate in group finance leadership and help shape and implement finance strategy
  • Handle ad-hoc requests supporting the division as directed by the VP of Finance
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain subsidiaries’ capital structures in line with business, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Coach and develop direct reports and manage high-performing teams
  • Ensure strong communication between leadership teams to implement change and improvements
  • Complete performance reviews and manage attendance, disciplinary issues, and procedures as appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant with minimum of 7 years PQE
  • Preferably experience within manufacturing
  • Solid demonstration of Finance Partnering in Commercial finance
  • Experience analysing large amounts of data
  • Ability to synthesize financial/business impact information into clear and concise summaries for presentations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • ERP experience; IFS advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in a Private Equity (PE) or PLC environment is advantageous
