About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and update medical devices in hospitals throughout the United States
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and on-site teams
  • Organize, test, and update medical devices
  • Install and configure hardware, software, and network products
  • Set up and organize equipment and workstations
  • Conduct routine checks and record data from product tests after installation and configuration
  • Manage project timelines and customer needs
  • Travel nationally to support customer needs
  • Complete assignments typically requiring 1–3 weeks onsite

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1 year related technical experience required
  • 3+ years’ experience in a field technical role focused on hardware and software installations preferred
  • Experience in field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, electronics, electrical, technical work, or IT preferred
  • Professional business acumen including communication and soft skills required
  • Comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating system
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision required
  • Active and unrestricted driver license required
  • Personal vehicle and willingness to use it for job-related assignments up to 3 hours from home
  • Located within 1 hour of a major airport
  • Ability to travel nationally and maintain 3 weeks of open availability per month
  • Healthcare facility credentialing and required immunizations/vaccinations may be required, including MMR, Varicella, negative TB test, Tdap, Hepatitis B, seasonal Influenza, and COVID-19 primary series
  • Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship required
  • Biomedical Technician experience is a plus but not necessary
