About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead client/project delivery, business development, and firm/operational leadership within IQVIA Financial Institutions Consulting
  • Develop and deliver value-added strategies addressing complex client issues
  • Create and elevate new business opportunities and identify revenue opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Cultivate relationships across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Fund, and Emerging Biopharma communities
  • Participate in proposal development and pre-sales meetings
  • Own client engagements and ensure client satisfaction and high-quality delivery
  • Follow up with clients after project completion
  • Provide direction, advice, and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams
  • Guide development of client reports and presentations
  • Deliver insights and findings to clients
  • Monitor industry, competitive, and competitor trends to identify business challenges and opportunities
  • Promote IQVIA FIC thought leadership and service offerings through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications
  • Attend investor conferences to cultivate and follow up with clients
  • Mentor junior team members and serve as Designated Lead for performance reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree highly preferred
  • 11+ years’ experience in strategy consulting, Life Sciences corporate development, or within a financial institution (Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Fund) focused on M&A, commercial due diligence, landscape PoVs, deal advisory, and integration strategy within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sector
  • Evidence of career progression in consulting and/or transaction advisory roles
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Experience owning exceptional client relationship management and delivery with financial investors in healthcare/life sciences and Biopharma
  • Proven ability to identify new revenue opportunities with existing clients
  • Team development and management experience
  • Proven success in business development and selling complex strategy and operations engagements
  • Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences strategy experience, including selling due diligence, valuation, and strategy work
  • Senior-level solution selling and ability to build relationships, identify client pain points, and develop custom solutions at CEO/COO/CFO level
  • Comprehensive knowledge in strategy, due diligence, and transaction advisory solutions
  • Global and US Private Equity/VC network knowledge
  • Understanding of financial statements and corporate finance, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow management
  • Located near and able to work in either NYC, Boston, or San Francisco
