About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape and lead the team and HTA offerings with senior leadership and global centres of excellence
- Manage business development and client relationships, including understanding strategic goals and milestones
- Confirm, manage, and maintain project scope to meet client goals efficiently
- Manage HTA project strategy and direction, particularly UK HTA processes and requirements
- Identify product-value challenges and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Manage project delivery teams across dossier development, UK HTA submissions, early scientific advice, HTA strategy, and strategic HTA offerings
- Contribute to multi-country and global HTA projects
- Mediate, negotiate, and solve problems within and outside project teams
- Train and identify opportunities for junior team members' career development
- Collaborate across IQVIA teams, including technical consultants, Market Access, Patient-Centered Solutions, HTA Accelerator Solutions, database studies, and local global-network teams
- Liaise with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical-device clients and their affiliate teams
- Support or lead HTA thought leadership through conference abstracts, posters, white papers, peer-reviewed publications, and intern thesis guidance
- Provide line management depending on interests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Postgraduate degree level education or higher from a relevant discipline
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience preparing evidence submissions aligned to HTA processes and requirements within the UK and/or Europe, and involvement in appraisal and negotiation processes where relevant
- Experience with UK HTA submissions and preparing for and supporting early HTA scientific advice
- Proven success navigating HTA processes strategically to optimise product market access and reimbursement
- Experience with multi-country HTA submissions highly desirable
- Experience with statistical methods used in clinical trials and evidence synthesis highly desirable
- Understanding of pharmaceutical industry structures and client objectives
- Project management experience, including managing multidisciplinary teams
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English; applications and CV must be submitted in English
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methods used in clinical trials, and evidence synthesis methodology highly desirable
- Quantitative skills, including biostatistics and health economic modelling methods
- Knowledge of statistical software packages such as STATA and R desirable but not essential
- Existing network of HEOR contacts highly desirable
- Previous consultancy experience highly desirable
- Commercial acumen and proven consultancy skills highly desirable
