About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape and lead the team and HTA offerings with senior leadership and global centres of excellence
  • Manage business development and client relationships, understand strategic goals and milestones, and manage project scope
  • Manage HTA project strategy and direction, particularly UK HTA processes and requirements
  • Identify potential challenges to product value and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage project delivery teams across dossier development, UK HTA submission support, early scientific advice, HTA strategy, and strategic HTA offerings
  • Contribute to multi-country and global HTA projects
  • Mediate, negotiate, and solve problems within and outside project teams
  • Train and identify development opportunities for junior HTA team members
  • Collaborate across IQVIA technical consulting, Market Access, Patient-Centered Solutions, HTA Accelerator Solutions, database studies, and local global-network teams
  • Liaise with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device clients and their affiliate teams
  • Support or lead HTA thought leadership, including conference abstracts, posters, white papers, and peer-reviewed publications
  • Guide interns working on HTA-focused thesis topics
  • Provide line management depending on interests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Postgraduate degree level education or higher from a relevant discipline
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience preparing evidence submissions aligned to UK and/or European HTA processes and requirements, with involvement in appraisal and negotiation processes where relevant
  • Experience with UK HTA submissions and preparing for and supporting early HTA scientific advice
  • Proven success navigating HTA processes strategically to optimise product market access and reimbursement
  • Multi-country HTA submission experience highly desirable
  • Experience with statistical methods used in clinical trials and evidence synthesis highly desirable
  • Demonstrable commercial awareness and thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Existing network of HEOR contacts highly desirable
  • Project management experience, including managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous consultancy experience highly desirable
  • Commercial acumen and proven consultancy skills highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English; applications and CV must be submitted in English
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methods used in clinical trials, and evidence synthesis methodology highly desirable
  • Quantitative skills, including biostatistics and health economic modelling methods
  • Good knowledge of statistical software packages such as STATA and R desirable but not essential
