About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, installation, upgrade, capacity planning, and daily maintenance of SQL Server environments in a Windows Server ecosystem
  • Conduct continuous monitoring, tuning, and T-SQL optimization
  • Manage Always On technology and clustering solutions
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures using Rubrik backup systems
  • Execute recovery processes while adhering to change management policies
  • Collaborate with developers to build stored procedures, triggers, and data extract facilities
  • Support SSIS and SSRS implementations
  • Execute environment refreshes and maintain system documentation
  • Use basic PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Participate in a 24/7 rotational on-call schedule

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 to 7 years of in-depth experience in the design, administration, programming, and support of SQL Server database systems
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, server-side development (triggers, stored procedures), Always On high-availability technology, clustering, disaster recovery, and SSIS/SSRS implementations
  • Direct experience working in a Microsoft-centric environment with Windows and Server Operating Systems
  • Proficiency with basic PowerShell scripting and familiarity with Rubrik backup systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to successfully obtain a clearance
  • 3-year U.S. residency requirement
  • Selective Service registration (if applicable)
  • Successful completion of credit verifications focused on federal debt/tax status
  • Successful completion of criminal background verifications
