About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain HRIS and employee records, including updates, audits, and reporting, to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, vendor liaison, and employee questions.
- Assist with payroll processes by preparing and validating data, following up on timesheets, and coordinating with the payroll provider.
- Manage leave tracking and accommodations, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other leaves.
- Prepare standard HR reports and dashboards covering turnover, headcount, new hires, and diversity metrics.
- Support ad-hoc analyses.
- Maintain and update People policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Support policy rollouts and training.
- Support HR projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and DEI initiatives.
- Provide administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, benefits and payroll administration support, HRIS data accuracy, employee communications, compliance tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with employees, managers, and stakeholders across North America during US business hours.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or administrative role supporting HR functions.
- Familiarity with ATS systems (e.g., Workable).
- Strong comfort with Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, Excel/Google Sheets.
- Proficiency with Rippling HRIS system.
- Solid knowledge of employment-related documentation and basic compliance (I9, W-4, state reporting).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of US/Canada compliance.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver tasks on deadline in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Availability to work during US business hours.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
