About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete basic and advanced analytical corporate governance research for companies assigned to the Latin American market
Perform governance research and complete proxy analyses for shareholder meetings of publicly traded companies
Read and understand filings with countries' regulators, SEC filings (20-Fs, 6-Ks), corporate governance reports, and other company documents
Distill financial, industry, and corporate governance information into analyses
Draft analyses and issue proxy vote recommendations based on ISS policy guidelines
Check and ensure accurate collection of company financials, directors' profiles, remuneration data, and auditors' fees
Write timely and accurate reports using quantitative and qualitative analysis in accordance with ISS STOXX procedures and market-specific policy guidelines
Work during the spring annual meeting season from January 2027 through early May 2027, with possible fluctuations in start and end dates
Collaborate and communicate with internal parties and work within a team-oriented environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong analytical abilities and some knowledge of corporate governance issues
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with data information
Self-driven work ethic and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Willingness to work long hours and weekends during peak weeks (March & April)
Ability to work within a team-oriented environment and communicate with various internal parties
Familiarity with Latin American countries' regulators and stock exchanges, as well as SEC filings
Bachelor's degree or higher, plus relevant work experience preferred in governance, accounting, law, or other corporate fields
Fluency in Spanish and English
Ability to work 5 days a week in office
Full-time availability for 40 hours per week
Eligible to work overtime when requested, including evenings or weekends during peak season
