About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide hands-on support for network routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN termination appliances
  • Plan and perform platform-level software updates and disaster recovery operations
  • Install new capability integrations and configure network segments with a security-first approach
  • Perform testing and documentation to report system status and support operations
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
  • Replace defective components when necessary
  • Monitor network performance and determine required adjustments and future changes
  • Collaborate with software, test, server engineering, and operations teams
  • Provide 24x7 on-call Tier 3 escalation support for network, network security, VPN, and infrastructure outages
  • Implement, maintain, and optimize network, firewall, and VPN infrastructure
  • Perform new installations and troubleshoot complex nested VPN connectivity
  • Support, manage, and maintain multiple network enclaves and elements
  • Design, optimize, and automate network operations
  • Perform other duties in support of the customer's mission

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of network engineering experience supporting large-scale global environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an IT-related discipline, or equivalent years of related technical experience
  • Active Federal SECRET Security Clearance required prior to start
  • Current, active IAT Level II qualifying Cyber Security certification (Security+, CySA+, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of VLANs, access control, trunking, static/dynamic routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), IKEv2 IPsec VPNs, PKI, DNS, SNMP, packet filtering, and packet analysis tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Current, active professional networking/security certifications are desired
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto IPS platforms and capabilities is desired
  • Knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting is desired
  • Experience supporting enterprise SIEM and observability tooling is desired
  • Experience in Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) environments is desired
  • Prior lead or management experience preferred
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
