About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop future-ready IT infrastructure solutions in collaboration with customers
- Translate technical and business requirements into comprehensive architecture concepts
- Advise customers on the strategic development and modernization of their IT infrastructure
- Design server, storage, and network infrastructures
- Develop on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-adjacent infrastructure architectures
- Analyze existing customer environments and derive target architectures and technology roadmaps
- Create high-level designs, solution concepts, and technical architectures
- Select and evaluate suitable technologies, vendors, and solution approaches
- Provide technical consulting on compute, storage, virtualization, networking, backup, and high availability
- Conduct customer workshops, assessments, and technical presentations
- Support Sales throughout the presales process, including requirements gathering, solution development, and customer presentations
- Provide technical support for tenders, RFPs, and complex proposal projects
- Prepare technical specifications, bills of quantities, and solution designs
- Collaborate with System Engineers and Consultants on detailed technical planning and implementation
- Provide technical oversight for complex infrastructure projects and ensure implementation of the designed architecture
- Monitor technological developments and evaluate new solutions and vendors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure
- Strong expertise in at least two of the following areas: servers, storage, and networking
- Experience designing complex IT infrastructure solutions
- Good knowledge of relevant infrastructure technologies, such as HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, NetApp, Pure Storage, Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix
- Understanding of backup and recovery, disaster recovery, security, high availability, and hybrid cloud
- Experience in presales, technical customer consulting, or solution design is an advantage
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and appropriately to different audiences
- Structured, analytical, and solutions-oriented approach to work
- Confident manner when interacting with technical contacts and IT decision-makers
- Good command of German and English
