About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, deploy, configure and maintain Azure infrastructure across production, staging and development environments
- Improve the scalability, availability, reliability and performance of the cloud platform
- Administer Azure App Service, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, networking and identity services
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment and configuration
- Manage monitoring, logging, alerting and application observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics
- Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure, networking, deployment and system performance issues
- Apply cloud security best practices, including RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, network controls and secrets management
- Configure and manage VNets, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls and other Azure networking components
- Optimise cloud expenditure, resource utilisation and platform performance
- Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis and preventative improvements
- Keep the Azure environment current through platform enhancements, security updates and cloud best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience within cloud engineering, infrastructure, systems engineering or DevOps
- Proven experience deploying, configuring and supporting Azure resources
- Strong working knowledge of Azure App Service, Virtual Machines, networking, storage and identity
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar technologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM Templates, Bicep or Terraform
- Solid knowledge of VNets, subnets, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls and routing
- Practical experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
- Good understanding of cloud security principles, access control, secrets management and secure networking
- Experience supporting production environments and investigating technical incidents
- Proactive, hands-on and solution-focused approach to technical challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering teams
