About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review applications and supporting technical documentation submitted by regulated entities
- Assess operational procedures, information security controls, technical systems and relevant agreements
- Support Technical Analysts with post-licensing compliance and supervisory activities
- Review compliance audit reports prepared by independent third-party service providers
- Assist with on-site compliance audits, occasionally involving local and international travel
- Participate in supervisory reviews and regulatory engagements
- Review documentation following compliance assessments and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Monitor technical compliance and provide findings and recommendations
- Support inspection and review assignments and document observations and recommendations
- Assist with preparing and finalising compliance reports
- Identify, communicate and escalate potential non-compliance
- Follow up on corrective measures
- Review information security incident reports
- Liaise with regulated entities regarding technical and information security matters
- Review applications for new or amended systems, products, service providers, domains and operational verticals
- Support system audits and technical assessments
- Participate in meetings with prospective licence applicants
- Draft reports, internal memoranda and technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments on regulatory and compliance objectives
- Undertake other related duties as required by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Diploma at MQF Level 5 or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting or another relevant discipline
- Strong interest in technology, IT systems and technical compliance
- Willingness to work towards a recognised IT audit qualification, such as CISA or equivalent
- Ability to identify potential areas of risk and clearly communicate findings and recommendations, both verbally and in writing
- Previous exposure to information systems, IT auditing or financial auditing would be considered an advantage
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing multiple assignments and priorities
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
