Key responsibilities & impact

Join the ERT BUPF (Elite Response Team), responsible for the resilience of the Itaú app
Handle incidents and quickly restore critical user journeys when failures occur
Prevent incidents through proactive work involving software engineering, automation, applied AI, and SRE practices
Turn incident learnings and technical risks into tools, automations, health checks, dashboards, and AI-powered solutions
Accelerate diagnostics, reduce manual work, and increase platform reliability
Propose standards and influence product and engineering teams in evolving the architecture
Contribute to the stability, rapid recovery, and reliability of a high-scale, highly available financial application

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Strong software engineering experience, with the ability to build solutions in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar)
Experience operating production systems, including incident response and root cause analysis
Knowledge of SRE and reliability practices (SLIs/SLOs, observability, monitoring, and alerting)
Experience with automation and DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and scripting
Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and containerized environments (Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS)
Ability to communicate technical risks clearly and influence technical and business teams
Experience applying AI to operations, such as log analysis, alert correlation, and diagnostic automation
Knowledge of mobile and web application stacks, such as Angular, WebView, and hybrid or native apps
Experience with mission-critical products operating at high scale and high availability
Experience with change governance, incident management, or Gamedays/resilience testing
Experience in the financial sector or with apps serving a large user base
