About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, write, edit and proofread technical data for manuals, procedures, specifications, special reports and other customer deliverables
  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, compliant with editorial and government specifications, and aligned with quality, graphics, coverage, format and style standards
  • Assist in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations
  • Develop and maintain technical operational documentation, including design materials, interface and pipeline documentation, test artifacts, recovery procedures, training/handoff materials and deliverable packaging
  • Work on a project in the Washington, DC Metro Area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience writing manuals, standard operating procedures and similar documents
  • Strong command of grammar, style and formatting standards
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to perform other related duties as assigned
