About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify compliance issues that may impact local business operations
- Provide guidance on the development and implementation of compliance strategies and policies
- Own and proactively manage relationships with regulators, industry associations, including TCMB, MASAK, TÖDEB, and other regulatory bodies and authorities that interact with iyzico
- Oversee regulatory audits and manage related processes
- Identify gaps in processes and products, propose solutions, and mitigate compliance risks
- Implement and manage AML/CFT and ethics compliance programs to ensure that all business operations comply with local and international standards and legislation
- Maintain and enhance the regulatory compliance framework in response to new laws, rules, regulations, regulatory guidance, corporate requirements, products, industry standards, and other internal and external risk factors
- Conduct independent research and analysis on AML/CFT risk exposures, prepare written assessments, and communicate identified gaps, impacts, and recommendations to management
- Stay informed about new products and features and assess their compliance with applicable rules and regulations
- Manage and report on internal investigations
- Collaborate with relevant functions, including Risk Operations, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and Internal Control teams
- Manage external service providers and their allocated budgets
- Represent the company, where necessary, in working groups and similar organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics or a related field
- +5 years of experience in compliance units of financial institutions
- Holding a valid MASAK Compliance Officer license
- Strong understanding of both local and global AML/CFT regulatory requirements, standards and the payment service provider business model
- Experience working with management teams and international teams
- Excellent English proficiency in both verbal and writing
- Strong ethical standards, high level of self-motivation, determination, and confidence
- Experience in team management, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in control activities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong logical thinking
