About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess J.S. Held’s alignment with internal and external compensation data
  • Work with management to design, implement, and monitor compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and total rewards
  • Conduct job analysis and evaluation to determine appropriate salary bands and ranges
  • Review and level new and existing job descriptions within the job hierarchy
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop compensation plans that attract, reward, and retain talent
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Finance on program administration
  • Generate analytical compensation reports supporting budgets and strategic decision-making
  • Provide reports, analysis, and policy clarification to HR teams and business leaders
  • Support annual merit increase and bonus plan activities
  • Provide market research as needed
  • Monitor compensation management trends and compliance with compensation laws and regulations
  • Collaborate on special projects and respond to ad hoc requests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience with compensation methodology and analysis
  • Experience working in a large, global professional services firm desired
  • Experience creating reports and extracting and analyzing data from an HRIS system
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey complex ideas clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Sense of urgency and confidentiality
  • CCP Certification preferred
  • Incentive Plan design experience highly preferred
  • Experience at a highly acquisitive firm / M&A integration experience highly preferred
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
