About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help lead complex business litigation engagements to evaluate economic damages
  • Build client relationships and act as a direct contact with current and prospective clients
  • Interact with clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather engagement data and information
  • Provide insight and expertise on target industries, markets, and competitor information
  • Manage damages analyses, including determining appropriate methodologies and building and reviewing financial models
  • Review and analyze reports of opposing damages experts
  • Work on high-impact litigation and valuation matters across a wide range of industries
  • Apply economic damages and valuation methodologies
  • Use financial statement analysis skills and experience preparing expert reports
  • Help lead day-to-day project management and client communications across multiple engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with strong quantitative bias (e.g. Business, Economics, Math, Finance or Accounting)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience evaluating economic damages in business litigation cases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce high-quality expert reports
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Able to meet deadlines while being detail oriented
  • Strong independent work ethic and leadership skills and qualities
  • Exceptional communication skills to support and solve client questions and requests
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ASA, CVA, ABV, or CFA, or demonstrated progress toward obtaining certifications (preferred)
  • Testimony experience (preferred but not required)
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
