About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses
Develop, test, debug, document, maintain, modify, and install programs
Conduct inquiries for new information systems meeting current and projected business needs
Write functional and technical specifications for application development, enhancements, and testing
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems
Prepare project plans, implementation schedules, and project schedules
Confer with organizational units to determine requirements
Develop and maintain computer programs for storing, locating, and retrieving documents, data, and information
Write programs that interface with other system equipment
Devise sample input data and test program accuracy
Assist with application rollouts and user acceptance training
Resolve questions regarding program intent, input acquisition, time sharing, output requirements, coding, modifications, and internal checks/code reviews
Adhere to development framework standards
Maintain documentation for the responsible area
Provide project status updates
Recommend and conduct training
Maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and vendors
Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting issues
Follow safety, health, and company security policies
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software
Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages
Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret graphs
Maintain thorough knowledge and in-depth field experience regarding emerging or job technologies required to fulfill the job
