About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and integrate automated systems, including robotic cells, PLC-controlled machinery, and vision inspection systems
  • Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and industrial robots
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot automation equipment and software
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and operational procedures
  • Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance personnel
  • Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation performance and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in automation projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Previous internship, project work, or academic experience related to manufacturing, process improvement, or industrial engineering is a plus
  • Experience working on engineering projects, process mapping, or data analysis through coursework is beneficial
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, or AutoCAD is preferred
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma concepts is preferred
  • Interest in manufacturing operations, production systems, and process optimization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
