About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Win new business and expand existing business throughout Jabil plants
- Review customer documentation, business plans, manufacturing agreements, contracts, purchase-order terms, letters of authorization, and letters of intent
- Provide guidance in contract negotiations
- Monitor customer satisfaction, service awards, and work-cell achievements
- Assess, guide, and advise on plant loading and capacity conflicts
- Provide input on manufacturing requirements
- Assist in targeting customers and industries appropriate for Jabil
- Establish customer contacts at appropriate levels
- Support business development activities, including quotes and customer visits
- Monitor customer and product transfers and site expansion
- Develop and maintain expertise in a specific industry sector
- Develop factory-specific plans with business unit directors, sales, and operations
- Assess the need for design, NPI, SI, and DF capabilities
- Develop and drive current and future business expectations within the organization
- Lead and participate in quarterly reviews at each site
- Support sales efforts of business unit directors, business unit managers, corporate staff, and the sales organization
- Keep corporate management informed of changing market conditions within the region
- Provide innovative global solutions to customer needs
- Encourage competitive-information feedback on submitted customer quotes
- Assist with integrating mergers and acquisitions into mainstream operations
- Prioritize customer service and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Share knowledge and best practices across Jabil facilities
- Follow safety, health, and company security procedures
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree from four-year University or Technical Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Willingness to travel as required
- Combination of education, experience and/or training may be considered
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to customer, regulatory agency, and business community inquiries or complaints
- Ability to present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Advanced PC skills, including Jabil software packages
- Ability to tailor advanced quality tools training to all organizational levels
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry
- Proficiency in determining logistics requirements and implementing strategies to achieve targets
- Strong financial and analytical ability, including business analytics and company footprint optimization
- Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes and global customs regimes
- Proven track record in change management, continuous productivity, and cost-reduction programs
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and email
