About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to end-to-end architecture, definition, development, and production deployment of software applications and infrastructure for multiple customers and manufacturing regions
Design and develop test systems and procedures for hardware validation in manufacturing
Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts for motherboards, memory, CPUs, storage devices, and PCIe devices
Create, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts that automate testing
Control test equipment, collect and analyze data, and generate test reports
Support and maintain server (L10) and rack (L11-L12) level test software and infrastructure at production facilities
Implement minor system configuration changes for new product variants or revisions
Maintain manufacturing test procedure, specification, and infrastructure documentation
Collaborate with hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and end customers
Ensure software deliverables meet Jabil manufacturing quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is preferred; relevant experience will also be considered
5-8 years’ experience in a software role related to manufacturing test development/sustaining with enterprise server, storage or networking products is required
Experience with server hardware interaction, validation, and configuration
Experience in 2-3 core technical skills listed in the posting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Programming/scripting experience with Python, BASH, C, or C++
Linux development expertise and understanding of CentOS/Ubuntu fundamentals
Experience with IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester, or iperf
Experience creating/configuring virtual machines using VMware, including DHCP, PXE boot, and nginx
Knowledge of enterprise Ethernet datacenter switching/routing and L1/L2/L3 protocols including BGP, DHCP Relay, and ECMP
Experience with Git preferred
Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the complete software development life cycle
Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
Master’s degree in EE/CE or Computer Science is preferred
Preferred: 10+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, test architecture design and methodology, hyperscale customers/environments, and 5+ core skills
