About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Talent Acquisition to define hiring criteria and recruit high-quality QC, Packout, and OBA personnel
- Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions aligned with business needs
- Monitor turnover trends and implement retention and engagement strategies
- Assess individual and team strengths and development needs
- Develop, implement, and validate training programs for QC, Packout, and OBA functions
- Establish measurable goals aligned with operational metrics, quality targets, and business objectives
- Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations
- Recognize and reward performance and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain team focus and coordination during high-pressure or crisis situations
- Promote open communication, collaboration, feedback, and engagement
- Develop and manage shift schedules to optimize labor utilization and employee well-being
- Ensure QC, Packout, and OBA activities comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures
- Train OBA Auditors and QC Inspectors
- Backfill operational roles as needed
- Analyze DPM and other quality metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
- Monitor process health through routine audits
- Lead or support 5S and process audits
- Oversee departmental output, staffing alignment, and performance metrics
- Provide technical support for inspection and quality-related issues
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, quality, security, and company policies
- Directly manage employees, including hiring, performance management, discipline, and termination decisions
- Lead team structure, workforce planning, and day-to-day operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, quality, or operations leadership
