About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Optimize material movement, storage, and presentation within manufacturing and logistics operations
  • Analyze material flow processes, layouts, and material handling equipment to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste
  • Design optimized material flow strategies, including line-side delivery, supermarket design, kitting, and sequencing solutions
  • Use simulation software and lean methodologies to model and validate proposed improvements
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT teams to implement material flow systems and processes
  • Lead material flow assessments and improvement projects at manufacturing and distribution sites throughout the United States
  • Develop and implement standard work procedures for material handling, kitting, and line-side replenishment
  • Evaluate and recommend material handling equipment, automation, and technologies
  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to material flow, inventory reduction, and space utilization
  • Provide training and support to operational teams
  • Develop and track KPIs related to material flow efficiency, inventory turns, and cost savings
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Jabil quality standards
  • Travel up to 75% within the United States for project execution, facility launches, operational assessments, and implementation of best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in material flow engineering, industrial engineering, or supply chain optimization within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience preferably in electronics manufacturing or a high-volume production setting
  • Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and Pull Systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, for facility layout and material flow design
  • Experience with simulation software for material flow analysis, such as FlexSim or Arena, highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% within the United States, including extended site visits as required
