About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities
Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential new suppliers and assess current supplier capabilities
Lead the entire Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, including vendor selection and evaluation
Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improve overall value
Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure material availability and quality
Identify and implement supply chain optimization opportunities, including lead time reduction, inventory management, and logistics improvements
Resolve complex supplier issues, including quality discrepancies, delivery delays, and contractual disputes
Ensure compliance with Jabil policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience and qualifications sufficient to strategically manage and optimize procurement of direct and indirect materials and services
Ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities
Ability to conduct market research and supplier analysis
Experience leading RFP and RFQ processes, including vendor selection and evaluation
Negotiation skills for supplier terms, conditions, and pricing
Supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, risk assessment, and continuous improvement
Ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
Knowledge of supply chain optimization, lead time reduction, inventory management, and logistics improvements
Ability to resolve complex supplier issues, including quality discrepancies, delivery delays, and contractual disputes
Knowledge of relevant company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Ability to prepare and present sourcing, cost savings, and supplier performance reports to management
