About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide one-on-one advising for assigned students applying to medical and other healthcare professional programs, including PA, Dental, Pharmacy, and Vet programs
  • Provide essay review, feedback, and support for personal statements, experiences/activities, secondary essays, school lists, MD/PhD essays, letters of intent/interest, and mock interview preparation
  • Support review committee work, graduate school insight, and other client materials as needed
  • Respond to student questions and provide updates within designated timelines
  • Schedule Zoom support calls and independently manage student appointments
  • Ensure application tasks, documents, and student responsibilities are completed on time
  • Manage first-line client service issues professionally
  • Maintain continuous communication with students to support progress and maximize acceptance outcomes
  • Conduct Zoom intake assessments and produce written evaluations of application readiness, academic qualifications, and competitiveness strategies
  • Track deliverables, applicant timelines, due dates, and completed edits using the team's tracking system
  • Provide customer service throughout the package engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of five to eight years of medical admissions committee experience
  • A graduate-level degree (master's or above) is required
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) desirable
  • Deep knowledge of the premedical path and medical school admissions process
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple students under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Flexibility to accommodate seasonal peaks of the medical admissions cycle
  • Record of professional development in admissions
  • Track record of strong customer service and student success, ideally in admissions support
  • Technically proficient with strong internet connectivity
  • High-speed internet with bandwidth to access all tools concurrently
  • Successful completion of background, reference, employment history, education, and credential verification may be required
