About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and enhance customer-facing booking widgets, portals, and web applications
Develop responsive, mobile-friendly experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Troubleshoot and improve booking, checkout, and payment workflows
Develop and maintain object-oriented components within CustomLinc's proprietary platform
Integrate and support third-party APIs, payment gateways, and business systems
Implement and maintain analytics, tracking, and reporting solutions
Contribute to the transition from a legacy Windows application to a modern browser-based platform
Investigate and resolve production issues using a methodical, customer-focused approach
Collaborate with developers, support teams, and stakeholders to deliver practical solutions
Take ownership of work from investigation through deployment
Grow technical capability across platform architecture, hosting, security, and infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web development
Solid understanding of client-side and server-side application architecture
Experience with AJAX, asynchronous requests, and debugging browser-based applications
Experience with an object-oriented language such as C#, Java, C++, Python, or similar
Strong troubleshooting skills and confidence using browser developer tools
Experience with third-party APIs, integrations, and payment or analytics platforms
Excellent attention to detail and passion for creating high-quality user experiences
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Confidence using AI tools to support coding, debugging, documentation, and productivity
Willingness to learn new technologies, including the Jade platform
Experience with Jade development is advantageous
Experience with IIS administration and web hosting environments is advantageous
Experience with payment gateway integrations is advantageous
Experience with Google Tag Manager or GA4 is advantageous
Experience with web application security is advantageous
Experience with tourism, travel, ticketing, or booking platforms is advantageous
Experience with modernisation projects involving legacy applications is advantageous
