About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the calculation and in-depth analysis of ARPU, monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances, and recommending corrective action.
  • Monitor subscription numbers and other cohort data against budgets and forecasts, flagging variances and recommending next steps.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and Tableau dashboards supporting strategic pricing decisions, long-term planning, and accountability for ARPU and subscription performance.
  • Analyze key revenue metrics, trends, and performance drivers, including chargebacks and fraud, and assess their financial impact.
  • Present clear, impactful findings to senior leadership.
  • Provide ARPU and subscription assumptions for annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Partner with Pricing & Subscription, Data Engineering & BI, and Finance teams on pricing strategy, datasets, dashboards, commercial reporting, and revenue analysis.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience in data and analysis, ideally in the gaming sector or a subscription-based business.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or similar environment is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business performance.
  • Proficiency in data languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels across the organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A high level of curiosity and a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Applicants must be based (or willing to relocate) within a comfortable commuting distance of the Cambridgeshire, UK office.
