About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations across multiple commodities
Monitor and communicate with front office on physically settled exchange-listed contracts, ensuring front office has rolled or traded out before expiry/first notice
Work closely with internal teams to test and build processes for new product approvals within Commodities
Investigate and resolve trade, settlement, and cash breaks with internal teams and external counterparties
Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, allocation, settlement, and exception management
Partner with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Finance, Operations, Prime Brokers, custodians, and fund administrators
Assist with portfolio and NAV reconciliations and support daily operational controls
Identify process improvement opportunities and help automate manual operational workflows
Support new account onboarding, product launches, and operational projects across the trading platform
Ensure operational risks are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner
Work with multiple teams on new product requests, understanding operational risks and building processes to mitigate them

Requirements

What you’ll need

10-15 years of experience in trading operations, middle office, or investment operations within an asset manager, hedge fund, or physical trading companies
Strong trade reconciliation and break resolution experience
Experience supporting multiple commodity products
SME in US Gas & Power is preferred (Exchange Listed or Physical)
Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and operational controls
Experience working with Prime Brokers, custodians, fund administrators, or outsourced middle office providers
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ION Triplepoint is advantageous but not essential
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative trading environment
Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Strong communicator with the ability to work across Trading, Finance, and Operations
Comfortable taking ownership of issues through to resolution
Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
