About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations and corporate communications strategy aligned with Janux’s mission, pipeline priorities, business objectives, and long-term value creation
  • Shape Janux’s corporate narrative, brand identity, positioning, and messaging frameworks
  • Build and cultivate relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and banking partners
  • Lead investor engagement and targeting activities, including conferences, non-deal roadshows, R&D/Analyst Days, KOL webinars, analyst meetings, and other investor events
  • Develop and execute shareholder targeting and ownership strategies
  • Prepare senior leadership for investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and high-profile investor interactions
  • Lead message development, FAQs, Q&A documents, briefing materials, and response frameworks
  • Oversee investor-facing and public communications, including earnings materials, investor presentations, scripts, press releases, website content, talking points, and executive briefing materials
  • Lead communications planning around clinical and regulatory milestones, corporate transactions, partnerships, and financing activities
  • Manage an integrated communications calendar and agenda
  • Serve as a designated external representative to the investment community and media
  • Monitor investor sentiment, stock performance, analyst commentary and coverage, peer performance, and capital markets trends
  • Track sell-side models and compare them with internal forecasts
  • Partner with Legal and Finance on external communications, public disclosures, earnings communications, SEC disclosures, Reg FD requirements, and material event communications
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board
  • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical, Project Management, Regulatory, HR, Finance, and Legal
  • Lead external IR and communications agencies and consultants, including scope, budgets, performance oversight, and program measurement
  • Report directly to the Chief Corporate and Business Development Officer
  • Advise executive leadership and the Board on investor sentiment, shareholder communications, market positioning, and reputational risk
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Biology, Communications, or related field required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or MS) preferred
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive leadership experience in investor relations and/or corporate communications within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
  • Substantial leadership experience
  • Significant oncology experience required
  • Demonstrated experience supporting innovative therapeutic platforms and complex modalities such as T-cell engagers (TCEs), bispecific antibodies, CAR-T/cell therapies, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), or other advanced biologics
  • Autoimmune experience highly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate complex scientific and business developments into clear, compelling narratives
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, investor behavior, and biotech valuation drivers
  • Deep knowledge of SEC regulations, Reg FD, disclosure obligations, corporate governance practices, and IR best practices
  • Established relationships with key investors, analysts, and media in the healthcare/life sciences space
  • Experience with IR and communications platforms and tools, managing external agencies, budgets, and performance measurement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, science-driven environment
  • Ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, with executive presence and demonstrated ability to counsel senior leaders
  • Experience building or significantly developing investor relations and corporate communications capabilities, infrastructure, and best practices
  • Experience supporting publicly traded biotechnology companies through significant clinical, regulatory, corporate development, and financing milestones
  • Strong writing and editorial judgment across scientific, corporate, investor, media, and employee audiences
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards
  • United States work authorization required
