About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Improve patients’ experience through warm, empathetic, and professional phone communication while prioritizing participant safety
Conduct outbound phone calls to prospective participants for recruitment and enrollment in active clinical research projects
Follow up with enrolled study participants on reported symptoms and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Monitor and assist patients with e-diary completion and follow up on missed entries or technical questions
Provide customer service to patients, study participants, clinical teams, and project stakeholders
Build relationships with internal teams and research staff to support study recruitment and participant retention
Ensure data integrity and accurately record patient information in tracking systems and electronic tools
Adhere to SOPs, HIPAA privacy regulations, and protocol guidelines
Communicate and escalate patient concerns or protocol deviations to clinical leads and project managers
Support teamwork, collaboration, and communication in a fully remote environment
Perform additional assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent clinical credential/training required
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Hands-on clinical experience in a healthcare setting (medical office, clinic, or hospital environment)
Prior clinical research experience is not required
Strong interest in clinical trial outreach and patient communication
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Empathetic and professional phone demeanor
High comfort level utilizing electronic documentation tools, digital diaries, and remote communication platforms
Quiet, private workspace with high-speed internet to ensure HIPAA compliance and clear phone communication
Drug screen and background check required
