About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide administrative and logistical support to JCC Greater Boston's Development team
- Coordinate fundraising and development events from planning through post-event evaluation
- Collaborate on large-event design and planning
- Coordinate program books and track guest lists
- Attend events and assist with execution
- Update the Development web presence in Soapbox and Salesforce
- Pull data from databases
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics
- Assist with event administration, websites, registration, communications, and marketing
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to secure sponsorships and in-kind donations
- Assist with smaller development and Boston Jewish Film events
- Design development marketing materials, stewardship reports, informational pages, and brochures
- Prepare materials for CEO and CDO meetings and events
- Collect and update donor data, including contact information, foundation giving, and gifts to other institutions
- Support donor communications, stewardship initiatives, and day-to-day development operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC’s discretion
- 1+ year of experience in development or marketing preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle and pass an MRV review
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of fundraising, event management, marketing, and/or sales
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with Canva, Salesforce, and online fundraising event platforms preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet goals accurately
- Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination skills
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Research, data management, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as needed
- Ability to interact with donors and prospects and attend meetings and events
- Ability to perform desk work and use computer equipment
- Ability to stand and sit frequently
