About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support prefabrication efforts on large or complex projects or multiple small projects in collaboration with project teams and prefabrication leadership
  • Act as a subject matter specialist on prefabrication best practices
  • Support improvement of prefabrication-related organizational knowledge, processes, and tools
  • Support project-level integration of prefabrication work under direction from a Prefabrication Integration Manager
  • Track and record prefabrication-related project metrics and conduct basic analysis
  • Answer project team questions and provide resources
  • Implement prefabrication best practices through presentations, training, and individual conversations
  • Communicate potential process and resource changes to prefabrication management
  • Develop knowledge of prefabrication resources, implementation guides, and best practices
  • Engage cross-functionally with Lean, Design, Pre-Construction, Virtual Design & Construction, Scheduling, field, operations, and supporting functions
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for prefabrication integration
  • Answer complex questions from project teams from preconstruction through owner handoff
  • Build relationships across operations functions to increase collaboration and prefabrication utilization
  • Assist with prefabrication lessons learned, best practices, and implementation guides
  • Analyze project data to identify improvements and opportunities
  • Contribute to project team trainings and communications
  • Create project-specific materials and scalable tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or related field (Preferred)
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing and/or construction environment (Preferred)
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct effective presentations
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
  • Interest in integrating prefabrication and manufacturing processes into commercial construction
  • Introductory knowledge of manufacturing process means and methods
  • Knowledge of construction processes
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • May require extensive travel
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
  • May be exposed to extreme hot or cold conditions
