About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide routine BIM administration and coordination for assigned projects
Provide models and documents needed to complete project scope
Assemble 3D content modeled by others and model missing content
Maintain productive and efficient BIM/VDC processes
Create and maintain project documentation, including meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and constraint logs
Support operations with BIM-related RFI processes
Maintain working relationships with subcontractors and project teams
Apply VDC processes and standards to assigned projects
Read and interpret construction documents and project BIM requirements
Incorporate design updates into project models
Analyze construction documents and models for errors and omissions and make corrections
Support self-perform model management and field layout
Provide BIM technical support to internal project teams
Independently conduct and maintain VDC processes
Communicate project constraints to supervisors and project teams
Provide training to project teams on BIM tool utilization
Align owner requirements, BIM execution plans, and scopes of work with minimum project requirements
Gain exposure to complex VDC delivery strategies, field layout, and self-perform VDC processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a construction-related field of study (Required)
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
2+ years construction or related experience (Required)
2+ years BIM-related experience (Required)
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Willingness to travel as required
Willingness to work non-traditional hours to meet business needs
Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
Verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Ability to conduct effective presentations
Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy
Ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively
Ability to lead project teams through VDC processes
Ability to establish project-specific VDC technology
Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications
Knowledge of BIM technologies and VDC processes in the AEC industry
Knowledge of Autodesk BIM 360 Glue, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Design Collaboration, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Trimble SketchUp, Bluebeam, JE Dunn Enterprise Mobile Solution, laser scanning, Trimble Tekla Structures, and Trimble Field Layout Solutions
