About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform exploratory testing of new and existing features to uncover edge cases
Run regression tests to ensure platform stability before releases
Maintain, write, and scale automated test suites
Reproduce user-reported issues and provide technical support to resolve them
Collaborate with developers to share product knowledge and diagnose system bugs
Work with product managers to estimate issue priority and business impact
Own the testing process for new and existing functionality
Balance manual exploratory testing with automated test development
Help ensure IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate support for JVM frameworks including Spring, Jakarta EE, and Hibernate
Prevent regressions and help deliver reliable updates for enterprise developers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience testing commercial software applications
Proficiency in Java or Kotlin sufficient to write test applications and read source code
Fluency in spoken and written English
Practical familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Bazel
Familiarity with databases and Docker containers
Experience testing software across different operating systems
Basic system administration skills
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical problems clearly
Independence, self-discipline, and ability to learn new technologies independently
Collaborative approach to working with distributed engineering teams
