About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research, write, and revise press releases based on briefs
  • Contact selected editorial offices and prepare brief media response reports as needed
  • Prepare press kits, including fact sheets, background texts, FAQs, and image materials with verified image rights
  • Gather and edit newsletter content, and select and edit suitable images with verified usage rights
  • Fully produce each newsletter issue using the existing Brevo template and prepare it for approval
  • Develop social media editorial calendars and write and design agreed-upon posts
  • Publish social media posts as needed
  • Research and prepare draft responses to press inquiries, with documentation
  • Prepare specific press events, including invitations, agendas, briefing notes, and background information
  • Create concise checklists for press procedures
  • Organize and hand over all materials produced, followed by a final handover meeting
  • Independently deliver agreed-upon service packages totaling up to approximately 36 working days
  • Coordinate the scope, deliverables, deadlines, and fee for each service package
  • Submit monthly invoices based on daily work records assigned to the relevant service packages

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least three years of experience in press relations, public relations, or journalism
  • Excellent and clear written German
  • Independent and self-directed working style
  • Meaningful references
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations is welcome
  • Existing contacts within editorial offices are welcome
  • Knowledge of Jewish life and the debate surrounding antisemitism is welcome
  • Experience with newsletter tools such as Brevo is welcome
  • Two work samples and two reference projects, including a contact person, to be submitted with the proposal
  • State your hourly and/or daily rate; for a daily rate, specify the number of hours included
  • Specify the desired service packages
