About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as day-to-day counsel to HOA and COA boards across Florida

  • Support litigation efforts, including drafting demands, pleadings, and motions
  • Guide assessment collection strategies alongside the firm’s collections team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar
  • 2–5 years of legal experience, with exposure to community association law, real estate, or litigation
  • Strong drafting skills across legal documents, contracts, and/or litigation materials
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, structured guidance
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Professional, direct communication style with clients and colleagues
  • Experience with Florida community association law, transactional or litigation preferred
  • Familiarity with developer turnover, governance structuring, or document amendments preferred
  • Exposure to covenant enforcement, collections, or related litigation preferred
  • Involvement with Community Associations Institute (CAI) or interest in participation preferred
