About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and architecture of mission-critical mobile apps for delivery fleet and operations teams
  • Understand operational problems through direct engagement with operations leaders, site leads, warehouse teams, and delivery partners
  • Visit warehouses, work shifts, or ride along on delivery routes to understand users and operational needs
  • Own solutions from discovery through design, delivery, adoption, and field resolution
  • Build and maintain Flutter apps used in warehouses and on delivery routes
  • Ensure apps work offline, scan quickly, track location reliably, and support dependable releases
  • Work across the stack, including backend services, data fixes, tooling, and process changes
  • Partner with the broader engineering team and build components when needed
  • Evaluate and implement AI capabilities in mobile tools and engineering workflows
  • Mentor teammates and set technical direction and quality standards for mobile

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years building and shipping production iOS and Android apps
  • Deep Flutter expertise
  • Solid mobile architecture skills, including state management, modular structure, and maintainability patterns
  • Experience designing and consuming REST and gRPC APIs
  • Working understanding of distributed systems
  • Track record of building performant, reliable features for a large user base alongside other engineers
  • Native iOS or Android SDK experience with Swift or Kotlin (nice to have)
  • Experience integrating on-device or cloud AI/ML features into mobile apps (nice to have)
  • Ability to own solutions end to end
  • Experience shipping work outside core expertise using AI tools
  • Good judgment when evaluating AI output
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences
