About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support qualified fee earners in the Real Estate Residential team
  • Support matters involving freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build properties, Help to Buy properties, Shared Ownership properties, remortgages, builders, and developers
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with clients and introducers
  • Receive telephone calls, handle straightforward enquiries, and direct enquiries appropriately
  • Make calls to clients and third parties involved in conveyancing transactions
  • Order searches and draft search reports and mortgage reports under conveyancer supervision
  • Log incoming post and respond promptly to update requests from clients, estate agents, brokers, and introducers
  • Update introducer portals where necessary
  • Prepare contract packs
  • Order HMLR, bankruptcy, priority, and company searches and documents
  • Prepare files for completion
  • Keep the firm's case management system fully up to date
  • Progress files using initiative and raise issues or concerns with the responsible conveyancer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Law graduate qualification
  • Experience working within a conveyancing team
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong team working ethic
  • Ability to manage a busy workload, be proactive, and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing, including dealing directly with clients
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high standard when preparing emails, letters, reports, and responding to information requests
