About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Vet prospective clients according to the firm’s established criteria and procedures
- Listen to callers and gather information required for intake
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective family law clients
- Schedule consultations based on attorney availability
- Maintain complete, organized, and current intake records
- Enter caller and prospective client information into Lawmatics
- Ask intake questions to understand callers’ needs and circumstances
- Answer approximately 30 to 40 incoming calls each day
- Support additional intake and client service tasks
- Follow up on prospective client inquiries
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, attorneys, and administrative team members
- Provide clear information regarding consultation next steps
- Use RingCentral for incoming and outgoing telephone communications
- Maintain availability throughout the established working schedule
- Identify missing or incomplete intake information and obtain necessary details
- Protect confidential client information
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with individuals experiencing sensitive family situations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full time remote position
- Working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST
- Location and time zone supported: Maryland, Eastern Standard Time
- Advanced spoken and written English
- Previous intake, customer service, reception, lead qualification, or client facing experience is required
- Previous experience using a customer relationship management platform is preferred
- Experience in a law firm or family law environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to gather and document sensitive information accurately
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Reliable availability throughout the established working schedule
